MODJ Crews, the Perlis team wAs sent by SMSTSP, a famous science school to participate in the BOH New Hope For Orang Utan contest. The school admins, teachers, supportive staffs and students also gave their supports to us. Also, a very thank you to Orang Utan Island, Bukit Merah because they also gave us their support and share with us lots of information about Orang Utan.

Differences Between Sumatran and Borneon Orangutan

Sumatran Orangutan

- Smaller in size.
- Tends to be more frugivorous and especially insectivorous.
- Prefered fruits. It also eat bird eggs and small veterbrates.
- More social than Borneon counterpart.
- Interval birth rates of Sumatran Orangutan is longer than the Borneon.
- The Sumatran Orangutan is endemic to Sumatran island and is particularly restricted in the north of the island.

Borneon Orangutan

- Native to the island of Borneo
- Lives in tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests in the island Borneon lowlands.
- Its diet consist of fruits as well as shoots, barks and bird eggs. It also eats insects but to a lesser extent that the Sumatran Orangutan.
- More solitary.

-they also pregnant for 9 months.
-if a baby orang utan have a birth mark on their stomach, that's mean that the baby is a premature born baby.
